Sticky: X8R study

I would like to introduce my little study on X8R. Review of the RX hardware indicates the use of SiGe SE2431L for RF front-end and a TI CC2500 2.4 GHz transceiver ( see attached picture and diagram). When TX is off the receiver scans the two antennas ( the pin noted as "Ant.selection" have rectangular pulses ) . When TX is on , the receiver selects the antenna with better RSSI ( the pin noted as "Ant.selection" become 0v or 3.5v depending on the selected antenna ). Telemetry is transmitted through the same selected antenna. In the process , the receiver continuously read the RSSI from selected antenna and if the value falls below a certain threshold (what threshold ??) he is trying to switch to another antenna. For my test I used PC oscilloscope and multimeter ...

After all, the questions are more than answers...
