I just got the Alula in the mail. Many thanks to grandpa for buying it for me
Anyways, I immediately looked up designs for the plane (is it a plane or a wing?)

I saw many creative designs, but decided to go on my own for this one. Since I live in America, and it's an awesome country, it seemed like a fitting theme for the Alula.

Currently, I am done with the tail. The wing will have AMERICA going across it.

Today we held the Warbirds over Livermore at LFERC

Here are some pics!
Unfortunately we had four crashes, three major and one minor
A rarebear stalled after too much elevator input at slow speed: loss of airframe
A T-28 stalled after too slow: Damage but fixable
A huge 1/4 scale electric came in hot on landing and overshot runway, flipped and broke rudder and motor mount
A 1/3 scale Fokker bipe lost radio signal just after takeoff, complete loss.

I just traded my VIP pylon racer and my Dx7se for a Dx8 and some batteries!

I LOVE THE DX8!

Im working on modifying it, ordered a lipo from hobbyking (they are on backorder!)


So far, i put on the orange fuel tubing to tell the dual rates switches, and a clear blue one for the throttle cut on the back.

I picked up four Thunder AC6(80) chargers, and i have 4, so thus its my quad charger.

Check it out!

Complete setup was about $200 (including the case and power man!)

For the covering, I used vinyl. Used some my friend sold me!

And here it is. Goes about 90mph, 100 downwind. It might not go very fast, but has UNLIMITED vertical!
