Stardate 2.22.2014

Pilots Log:
This morning session ranks in my top 5, picture perfect conditions. My personal favorite, marble skies. It really made my Habu seem fast. Redbull 130 was cutting out at 2:30....some of my 1cell batts for the Nano must go. They can't handle FFF.

minor crack on the nano cpx redbull...blade scrape on the 130x redbull...low batts gyro was super weak on the power down rotation.

the regular 130x comes with me tomorrow

hope everybody is having a blast this Saturday! Cheers from Cali!

This is my Blade Nano CPX RedBull, I call her my Nano Red BL... since she has a BL upgrade from Horizon. she is now my favorite micro flyer. The body came out of the 3channel coax Blade heli that is now discontinued. You can still order the body.

The Black heli in the background was my first attempt. My MCPX V2 with a custom painted Fai body.

These guys really excell in FFF

I'm getting a Nano soon but I'm keeping most of my fleet. These guy are perfect for scale bodies. Blade MCPX, I have both V1s and V2s....a BL conversion and a true MCPX BL. I enjoy each version.

I want a Cobra, Huey, Hind, and Apache. it seems I have enough mcpxs mwahahaha lol just felt funny when I lined the helis up.

I had to share

I am almost done with my second FAI fuse project. mCPx that can be safely flown in low light conditions. Well my tail LEDs kept poppin...ordered new ones. For now it's almost done just missing the illuminated tail blades.

Yep I'm keeping the V1 and V2s in the conversation.

I have worked out the final paint scheme, it seems silver gives it the most realistic look since it simulates metal. They fit both BL and V1 or V2 Blade MCPX

-PM if interested...custom colors available

They fly great! additional benefit is if you put foam inserts around the tailboom, it stiffens up the tail. I use these fuse with an extended tail for better tail response.

MY MCPX is finally VISIBLE!!! lol

cheers!

Blade MCPX V2 and BL

I found it really hard to see these suckers going FFF outdoors, thanks to the FAI fuse I can track them better.

Parkzone Habu V1
Blade 450 3D
Blade MCPX V2

....had the most fun with the little mcpx going as fast I can....thanks to the the new fuse I didn't loose visual orientation. no incidents!!!

I had my first 450 forward flights.....cool. But it seems I run out of space quicky, I may have to reconsider my 500

the Habu was solid like always!

Great Habu and Slick flights!

my new mcpx came today....seems my helis are multiplying

combined the stock fuse with a Fai rear section, and I really like the results. I honestly dislike the whole pod and boom look. Wish they would come out with micro scale bodies

It looks like I will be flying solo for a while. I need to concentrate on my flying skills and spend less time cracking jokes. This weekend I didn't visit the local flying field, I stayed to my local private spot to work on my Habu maneuvers and 450 flying skills.

It's amazing that I can be so calm and and collected when flying the Habu that I can pretty much do whatever I want with the plane. I remember last year as soon as it took off the ground I wanted to land it. My favorite part of the weekend was a little girl screaming out of excitement when I did multiple consecutive barrel rolls....good times.
On the Heli side if things.....it's funny that all I do is hover and scoot around and I actually find it more exciting than flying my jet. I need to adjust the TX for a more aggressive setup now. I can't wait to get confident enough to take out my 500 3d!

nothing beats learning on a solo field
