$471 raised for the Lake country food bank on both days.

club raized $271 and Model Aeoronautic Association of Canada(MAAC) equaled our numbers to a max of $200, thanks Steve.

Thanks to everyone that helped out and donated prizes, and to those who donated threw us for the food bank. AGT automotive donated a $100 dollar gc that was won by John Klassen, Lester's Hobbies in Vernon donated a $100 gc that was won by Dawn Dawdy, Dawn Dawdy dontated a pair of hand made seat cushins that were won by one of our new club members.

The weather today was killer nice(i am sun stoked now) and with very light winds all day everyone was having alot of great flights. Hermco Catering was amazing to have there running the concession with nothing but wows from everyone that ate his food.

Day one of the Kelowna Ogopogo Radio Controllers event was a smashing success for the first one to be held. We ran a 5 dollar entry fee for pilots and took in all cash and nonperishable food donations we could, totals to released later. Everyone that donated to the cause received a raffle ticked as well, we had two prizes donated before hand and had one added during the event, the first was a $100 dollar gc to Lester's Hobbies in Vernon and the second was a full automotive service from AGT automotive with a max value of $100, thanks to my boss for that donation(he also threw in the first cash donation too). Third prize is a pair of seat cushins hand made by Dawn Dawdy. All three prizes will be raffled off tomorrow.

The day started off slow but really picked up and became a great day, power 104/Q 103 came out and promoted the event and what we had there, she also brought out some great Sun Rype products for us. I took the time to get Casey out on the flight line and shes a natural on the controlls, she was looping and rolling my little Kadet in a matter of mins. The winds were light for the whole day only picking up when the small rain clouds circled the ridges of the hills nearby.
