I just got my new Tacon 160 motor. I am planning on putting this into a H9 1/4 cub on 10S.
OS FR5-300 Radial first time run
Flew the maiden on the Yak yesterday. Good flying plane. Not a 3D plane like my slick but a good IMAC style performer. Motor is a Hacker A30-12XL on 4S.
Got some more work in on the Fleet today. Motor mounted and sorting out the weight and balance now.
I was cleaning out the garage and came across a bunch of my old engines.
Made this 19" EppYak from 3mm Epp and 4-Site guts. Flies pretty good.
I just finished up with my latest build. It's a Peck Pietenpol that I converted to RC.

Taildragger Poem
Taildragger, I hate your guts,
I have the license, ratings and such.
But to make you go straight is driving me nuts.
With hours of teaching and the controls in my clutch.
It takes a little rudder, easy, that's too much.
You see, I learned to fly in a trycycle gear
with one up front and two in the rear.
She was sleek and clean and easy to steer
But this miserable thing with tires and struts
Takes a little rudder, easy, that's too much.
It demands your attention on the take-off roll
or it heads towards Jone's as you pour on the coal.
Gotta hang loose, don't over control.
This wicked little plane is just too much.
With a lot of zigzagging and words obscene
I think I've mastered this slippery machine
It's not that bad if you have the touch
Just a little rudder, easy, that's too much.
I relax for a second and from the corner of my eye,
I suddenly realize with a gasp and a cry
That's my own tail that's going by.
You grounding looping wreck; I hate your guts,
Give a little rudder, Great Scott, THAT'S TOO MUCH.

I broke out the D40X tonight and took my first night shots. A couple of them turned out pretty good. I just got some more LEDs from HK and am planning on installing them on an EPP Yak soon.

Friends,
I will be documenting the build of a Guillows Cessna 170. I will be converting this plane for electric RC use. This particular model has been converted by many people before. My goal is to make the airplane as light as possible for indoor flight. I hope to implement many of the modifications that others have recommended in these forums.
This is a good place to start for people interested in converting Guillows kits. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=827861
Details on the kit can be found on Guillows website. http://www.guillow.com/GuillowDetail...=19&FamilyId=1
