I've had this truck for a little while now, and I've been playing with the setup si.ce I got it. I think I've got it dialed in pretty good. Its funny how much I like this truck since the first time I saw it I dimisesed it as a toy. Then I kept on seeing videos a.d builds and realized the potential in this truck.
My first objective was to lower the c.g. as it comes stock it stands realy tall. I don't ha e any pictures of it stock but it realy looks silly. I think they are trying to kinda puff it up a little with the tall bodie. And with the battery and electronics all on the top of the frame its a rollover machine. So I choped up the battery tray and started moving things around. I have a trashed doner truck I used for spare parts such as thew new battery tray. In the end I got everything lower than the top of the frame!
Next I switched the servo. The servo is mutch larger so I fabricated a mount by choping up the doner. Then I attached the gaurd that was origanaly under axle as a kind of servo gaurd.
As I said I made a nice battery tray that holds bolth my 2s lypo and stock battery over the back axle. And again I reused the gaurd.
So far I'm keeping the stock rx and esc. I havnt had any problems and it has a 4 chnl rx and I plan on adding a light kit. I did replace the brushed 260 motor for a 280 brushed. With the 2s its got decent speed. The esc dosnt have a low volt cutoff so I just pay attention to the time I may ad one eventualy.
As I said the bodie looks goofy
