Over the last few weeks I have finally repaired the fuselage, wing and wing spar rod for my Radian destroyed last year. Sika Polyurethane glue from Bunnings worked a treat ($8) - this glue works well with EPO foam. Still have the servos and push rods to connect and a new canopy to make.

Had a great day off of work on Monday - went flying with my Radian. The Radian had not such a good day - lost sight of it while flying over head looking directly at the sun - it then ran into a mesh fence next to the goal posts at the field I was flying at (Mount Torrens Oval). Should be able to fix it.

Attached is a description of a simple full house glider setup (4 wing servos) for Turnigy ER9X Firmware. It should be able to be adapted to the original Turnigy 9X V2 firmware.

I have used this on my 3 metre Balsa glider - photo attached.

My transmitter is a Turnigy 9X, flashed with Frsky Telemetry ER9X Firmware.

Attached are reference screen grabs for EEPE - setup for a fullhouse F3B model with 3 flight modes - Speed, Thermal and Launch...... Setup according to Erik at the old Gliders.dk website - original link still works... http://users.cybercity.dk/~cws19202/...der_wi_eng.htm

Also attached is reference calibrations for my ER9X transmitter.

Attached is a file describing the mixing setup for an ER9X transmitter controlling a full house glider - for F3B has settings for each task. I have placed this here for my reference so I dont forget how it was setup.

This is my attempt at F3B on a budget - this transmitter cost $54 and I have added a Frsky model with telemetry (displays receiver voltage on transmitter) which together with a receiver was about $40.

Now I just need to make a budget glider.

An Apogee (Mark Drela airfoils and plans) wing cut last night. Trailing Edge is not yet trimmed. Foam used was from the side of a Fruit and Veg Polystyrene box I got for free down at the local shops.

Foam cutter is partly working - I am using Ankers Stealth Plane Works "Foamcutter" - a highly configurable standalone package. Hardware is home brew made using one PIC16F88 per axis, each axis also has a current controller and $6 ebay stepper output driver. Power supply also from Ebay, 24VDC switch mode 5Amp ( added a 5Volt regulator to power the Pic's).
Cutting wire is resistance wire (about 0.4mm) from a local electronics store. The constant current source is set from 0.9A to 1.5A depending on the axis speed and is powered by a 3Amp 24Vdc LED power supply.

Got a Hobby King Altimeter this week. Here is a log of coming to work this morning via the Freeway. I will try it in my Radian in a week or two.
