Well I just got my DragonLink for my Skywalker and DX8

Eventually I will fly FPV, but for now LOS it is.

Nice to get it all working!

I flew about 1/2 mile FPV with Spektrum 2.4ghz (farthest I have gone)

I need to balance props (some have had a strike or two)

The Hoverfly Pro board is very stable. I am flying in 10-15mph wind gusts and it is hard to tell.

My gear almost doesnt fit in my car any more

this is my first flight on my Y-6 with my diversity ground station so I pushed my limits a little farther. I usually fly in a 1/4 miles square. So today I went out almost 1/2 mile (this is on 2.4ghz spectrum full range. I had my goggles on so I am not sure what my singal strength was on my DX8 and AR8000.

Next weekend I will push it farther and have someone look at my DX8 when i am out far.

Y-6 and Skywalker flew well but my T-28 has a serious issue... it needs a lot of left aileron in order to fly, perhaps 1 to many crashes and the wing has some extra flex or bend to it.

Next time out I will put my gopro on my skywalker and fly LOS.

I just got my self an EagleEyes Ground Station for Diversity so I decided to build a temparary ground station to house all my gear.

Eventually I will move all this into a Pelican 1610 that will house all my camera gear, Y-6, Gimbal and Ground Station, but for now a snapware container will due.

I like it because it is water tight, so some little rain wont kill it and it will float above the holes that I cut in it. I have done some filming from a jet boat on a river and so water resistance is something of importance.

The Ground Station includes:
2x 5.8ghz Foxtech Receivers
1x 5.8ghz Patch Antenna
1x 5.8ghz Turbine CP antenna
1x EagleEyes Ground Station
1x 5-1 3mm barrel connector for power
1x Fatshark cable for my Base Station Goggles
1x Haier 7' LCD (shows static)

I also have a Foxtech 3" LCD 5.8ghz DVR that I can use to record the video form the ground station, or velcro it to my Transmitter (DX8) and use it for framing while flying LOS

Okay enough with the talking

Starts with Paint

I will update this with more posts about the hardware and such.

It will start of as a LOS plane with Spektrum Rx and move up to a FPV with autopilot and a LRS of some sorts eventually.

I have been flying FPV with my quads and Y-6 with good success so a Skywalker with a GoPro will be a fun addition.

So my little sister has turned into a decent photographer so she took some pics while I was fling my Y-6 on Christmas at my Grandparents house.
