So Yesterday I maiden my Sparrow and overall flying characteristics I was happy, all though I prefer a more stable platform it flew nicely, very twitchy on the control even with dual rates.

It loops on a dime, ailerons are very efficient and inverted is cool, I'm not really a 3D pilot but I did all that yesterday and enjoyed it. I need to get use to it but I know already it won't be my fav plane...

Still it is good to build out of the blue and to find yourself flying it with no major problem except some tweaking.

No so happy with the final look of it when servos are on and pushrods but it flies and that is what counts.

I decided to make a nose for it... I think it looks alright isn't it?

Later this afternoon I'll start making my hatch and install all electronics. Maybe a maiden today?

So I decided to build something new, I made this 40 inches wingspan kFm2 V-Tail style plane which will be powered by an EDF motor, either a 70mm or my new 65mm.

Should be doing a maiden in a couple of days.

Here is a little update on my Squale newest version, I changed the power set up from a traditional pusher prop to an EDF 70mm and reduced the wing span from 80 inches to a 60 inches.

It flew perfectly. Love it!

The EDF was placed straight on the wing without any thrust angle at all.

My newest version of the Squale just flew 5 mins ago and it was a real delight!!

I will post a maiden video as soon as I can. It was under powered but still flew so smoothly. I am changing the power set up for a 2200 kva now with a 6x4 prop.

Here is a new entry into my blog, it is called the " Out of the Blue " namely because I didn't have any plans for it lol.

Most of my electronics are in now and I just need to link the control surfaces with the servos, I will attempt a maiden tonight buy the end of the afternoon.

This one is powered with a E-Maxx 2822, 30 A ESC and a 1000 mAh 3 cells battery. 2 servos 9gr as its only controled by ailerons and elevator.

Didn't made any new entry since a very long time... So many unfinished project unfortunately but here is a new idea... Like the flying truck, I decide to try out the Flying FJ Cruiser. To my knowledge I don't think it has ever been done so why not coconut!

Well I managed to crash broken my lady bird didn't I! Actually the center plastic piece is not that strong unfortunately. Anyway I decided to redo a scratchbuild frame for it on a wider size.

I used for that BBQ Skewers and an ATM card like to hold the booms and fit my board on it.

Once my electronics were on I had some binding problem as the led light kept on blinking fast without binding back with the TX. I actually cut the wire from the Motors to the board to solder longer wire in order to fit on my new bigger frame.

Then it worked, I managed to fly it for 2-3 mins with the same abilities then the stock model, only I felt it was more easier for quad newbie like me.

Then I recharged my battery as I thought I might not have fully charged it and tried it again but the same binding problem occured...

If anyone have an idea of what could be the problem, feel free to give a hand here, I would really appreciate!

I recently purchased that Ladybird quadcopter for practicing purpose before build a proper Quad and I thought it would be to use only indoor so I was playing around the appartment with it with lacking of space to really enjoy it.

So I decided to take it out for a spin and I was surprise to see how it could still handle in what I thought "too windy condition" for this little thing!

But to my surprise it handle very well outdoor even with wind!

Since I don't really fancy the look of the Ladybird canopy I decided to make an angry bird canopy, first I made one out of a paper cup but the fixation area were tearing a bit so scrap it and made another one with a plastic cup this time that I will reinforce in the fixation zone.

After a very long time, I finally got my hand on building a new wing, decided to do it from scratch as I didn't want to use any plans for it, basically it is of a similar shape then most of other wing but this one is mine

Suprizingly the wing flew off my hand with no adjustment of CoG and it is very stable!

I add wooden disposable spoon to cover my servos and add a mis shapeded clear canopy that I was trying to do for another project, a fatty P-51.

It turned out to be a very sweet wing, manoeuvrable et fun to fly in confined space.

This wing was build with Depron vinyl covered of 5mm, only 2pieces of 12 inches BBQ Skewers were used at the center of the wing for stiffeness and that is all about the building.

I use a 1650kv motor, 25 amps ESC and 2 different battery either 1300mAh 3Cell or 1000 mAh 3 cell. 2 unit 9gr servos nylon gear

Here is a new entry guys with the Mrs.Lil wich is a tailess plane more like a wing type with a buble sort of profile fuse using only rudder to turn, climbing and descending is done with throttle imput.

The design was first build more then 60 years ago by Mr. John Worth and it was powered by a petrol engine... Later on he decided to make a way smaller version of it and being electric powered. Since I don't have a little 10gr motor I left aside my 37" wing which I will eventually use on a later stage with a proper landing gear if I get the correct gear tu put on.

My 70" version is powered by a E-MAXX 2822 (1200kva) and a 10x4.7 SF prop, a 1300 mAh 3 Cell battery and one single 5gr servo is used for rudder imput. The rudders are connected to the servo arm by wire wich will only deflect one of the rudder for turning.

It is a slow fliyer and need very little to no air at all for maiden.

I should be able to try it on tonight or tomorrow morning upon weather conditions.

I just wanted to know if there was already available an open thread for the scratchbuild profile X-31?

If anyone knows kindly provide me the links as I would like to add mine into it.

Hey Guys,

Since I cant build till my departure for the P.I.

I decided to get down on Sketchup, this is my very first trial and I actually have to redo it as there was some mistakes with the different layers that I couldn't clean up properly but anyway it will give you an idea of what I'm planning to build whenever I can...

This wing I found on the web, browsing randomly, appealed me and I decided to give it a go. I choose for that to make like a kFm8+1 type of wing.
Here are some pictures of the original build and few of my sketchup very first attempt. I love this software!! Awesome stuff!!

Here is a new build I decided to start along with the SR-71 and the B & V P-215 I have started earlier...

My intention is to replace carbon fiber rods by BBQ Skewers...

Will probably post the completed build tomorrow.

I'm planning to build this Bholm & Voss P215 but in foam...
It is more or less looking like a Delta wing and was wondering what kind of set up I was to do on this build, From the pictures it looks like there is ailerons, elevators and rudders...

I think I should just make a mix ailerons/elevators.

If anyone have an idea and could advise me, please feel free to do so.

I didn't set it up for FPV so I will simply call it the double tail pusher prop, maid out of Depron sheet covered with thin layer of vinyl.

I'm in the process of building a Tuffy Trainer on floats, I completed the inner fuselage and the tail already but I have little concern regarding the tail which wobble a bit too much to my taste...
Does any buddy have comments to make on that?
Tips to help me stiffen that without adding too much weight on the tail side?
