fiberglas kite frame rods for pushrods .

3x3.7g HK servos and 1x5g servo ( eleivator )

and turnigy park 250 out runner with just a 5x4.3 GWS .LOL for now .

~3a draw of 7a the motor can take . LOL

any how when wind dies down and i rememebr my camera , i will get some inflight shots .

so far she flys fine .. but i was worrie dabout wind and just wanted to test satble flight.

I broke the worngly made hinge on the elevator , so i will remake a better tape hinge tonight .. the correct way . LOL

any how here is pics .
AUW ~ 282g ~10oz ( 9.95oz )

the motor is 2200kv (7a max)(8a/15sec)

After working on my other AP T-Easy, I will be logging my build for a friend .
who is very busy guy , build and flys loads of stuff.

He wants in on the fun that comes from flying a titan bash ...

but at his request soem things will be special ...

power plant: Geared in-runner ( custom by request )

controls : elevon and T only .. unless he wants his canards active. ( pending )

wings:
- will be chopped (tips removed )
- dihedral 99% removed

Vert is still under discussion .

personaly i think it could use a cowel ... not wanted ...

any how i plan to have hin in the air in no time .. somthing to bring out with his raiden pro ... to switch it up a bit.

:: canopy ( PTE ) , shrunk onto balsa block i carved .
and cockpit was done tonight ..
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/atta...mentid=4013445
loads done , and great pics deeper in thread.

too a stock shape titan REA' controls no motor out in crazy wind.

she is great fun in wind.. and if i get a good launch .. i can get her up in the wind and keep her up by flyig over a bump or burm in the fild that kicks up a up draft , but it was just too windy ...
once the elevator got damaged i lost 50% of it's authority ... and in wind like this you need it all . LOL

i'm contemplating fixing her ... but changing the control linkage / systems a bit .. possibly alow for a motor pod .

video still converting ... ( 30 min left )

but i'm heading out now ... so i'll just put it in my blog

Titan converted to RC as a glider. very windy day (2 min 26 sec)

10g powerd AP plane

mixed balsa and DSF construction .

adding ribs form center & care full shaping /sanding of TE causes built in washout at tips.
It adds rgidity even out to tips .

when ribs set i will figure how / if i will do ailerons .

just winging this build .

WS currently 30 inches, but i may reduce that to 28 .

LE is a basswood dowel
TE is 1/4 x 1/4 balsa stock shaved between 2 metal guides to get the profile i wanted. then rough sanded .

fogy day fly ... found n fixed bad motor mount vibration.
kept adding bllast to nose to makeup for new e linkage
AP drone on fogy day .. (8 min 24 sec)

the cam from same day

Dollar store / tree foam planer

just messin with an idea for my smaller builds..
& keepin' costs low.

i used my hot wire lance , found a wire depth for 9V that
made 2 even sides / sheet thicknesses .

I need to make a better table to hold the foam but my own proof of
concept with DSF for ultra micro building & light sheeting for full fuse
projects will be a snap.

easy to bend and form .. this will make complex curves on small rigs easier.

Having go at a leadfeather Yak55.
I flew EC78's one not too long ago, and it was in all the wrong conditions ... parked it in a tree a few times .. bounced it off the ground a few times.

was great fun ... and the best part it looks almost the same going home as it did on arrival .
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1392769

so i will have some fun building and soon flying it.

but probably will avoid wind storms ... LOL

I'll post pics as i go here.
Update :: April 6th
- Magic dry fit using strong double sided tape ... ( construction seal / window insulation tape )
i can see it is almost spot on , and ready for Mike to paint , unless ne wants me to cut 45's in hinges?

Update :: 29th
later on same day .
- main deck is glued and curred .
i slice dinto teh gluing face to give more surface area for GG to get into ..
and used the tape to eliminate any mess or sanding , as it stops teh GG foam form oozing too far out of joints.

now i have to cut the controlsurfaces and try a glue hinge , and get this over to mike for paint.

- all cut & gluing started

Update :: 28th
- plans printed , and cut into the parts .
soon they will be made taky , and then foam will be cut .
- prolly be done that tonight, and gluing the wing deck parts.

HyperFlyer toy converted to HK 10g briushles.

i bought the toy for like 20$ at winners ...
it was NiMh micro cell powerd with a huge discreet componant RX board. LOL

so uh it flew like fish .. LOL and not a flying fish ...
and it can't even go in water !
it started as .. a TV + .5 ( up only elevator)

then i modded it..
..
rite now it runs on snow ( no rudder , i may add one )

AUW RTF = 110g

the thrust line my be high ... but it was starting to get air with bumps n such on snow ..

should be fun to play with while i make my Yak and UAV ( the final home for these guts .. unless this is way too fun . )

i would like to make it water friendly ( even if just take off )
and fix the nose from stock ..later

here is link .

still converting but here is 2nd link .

Heli flying in cold . (3 min 5 sec)

just a quick fly of my 3ch heli .
( it was slavaged for cheep , ie was in teh no fly bin at store .. LOL bit of TLC & CA & steel spring splint ... )
wind speed ~ = to forward speed even with 2 pennies taped to nose.
+ that lipo may have been damaged as the stock charger was actualy overcharging lipo , but .3v .. all that time i used it in summer& who knows what dude who had it before me did.
now i just need a hyperion 550mah 1s . LOL

Orange RX mod

i simply took off heavy shell and replaced with shiny black poly sheet .
old case 5g - folded poly sheet 1g
small sliver of neopreen fule tubing suck in a hole to make status LED more visable.

now only 4g .
so save a whole micro servo's worth .

DX6i 1 led & prism paper back lite

using 1 120mah 5v white led .. (surface mount type from inside a dead Motorola razor screen . only need 1 of 4 in it )

1 surface mount var-resistor .. in line to standard DX6i mod power points .

to adjust led down to 80mah consumption. ( bout 1/2 max bright )

added 1 simple switch under antenna mount on back side .
used micro jst type extension as connectors for easy access and possible future mods .

the key here is the prism paper found in the moto razors back light .
you need all the sheets .. it tale the .5 mm plexi and all 4 scattering sheets .
i used a bit of high gloss white photo paper in back to help glow .
and sheet of regular thin white paper in front ( between screen and light panel )

it also works if you cut up one of those credit card size magnification things.

trick is to make it fogy . a quick even exposure to CA glue fumes works .
( like how they find finger prints on CSI ... LOL ) .
i found the paper in the dead razors screen back light was bit better , as i could still faintly see rings with magnifier .. but that magnifier was easier to cut and shape & glue led to during test .
( some old digital cameras have this sort of back light too)

any how here is a pic of it ... the 1 led is more than enough but shows rel bright on cam .. and more blue on cam .. it all looks very white to the eye .

1$ LED Nav Strobes

you need a 1$ flashing rubber halloween ring form your local doallar store or buck or 2 .

mush be soft rubber type with 3 LEDs inside.

look for type the when you turn it on it keeps going and don't auto shut off.

extend LED's from board,
remove batterie mount .

solder supply leads with sockets for RX pins .

watch and double check your polarity!

draw is very low .. very low .
and they look just fine.

still cooking video
LED nav strobes for a 1$ (0 min 36 sec)

Game mesh space fighter to foamie ?

i was looking at some of my old game meshes , and thought some may just fly ...

using pusher props and dummy air ducts , and some brite LED's they could look real good .. an di can print textures off onto tissue to cover foam.

Hmm thoughts on this will continue.
i have many ships ... and some large things too that may translate well to foam . LOL

just a few ideas i wanted to test , in working with plans and apps i use in pc for printing & , just messing with a sheet of Readi board . ok 2 sheets .
LOL

need to decide how i will do my hatch(s) .

and sort of think like one fellow advised , one main hatch from firewall bac including canopy area .
and i sort of like that idea.
when i get the lipo , i can make a bay for it and all so very easy if the top front pops off. LOL .
shooting for 4oz plane
WS is 29 inches

salvage score !

i like to build micros . and using airhogs bricks and such .
but form tiem to time i burn out motors n thinsg butthe bricks keep going ...

so a deal with a local shop gets me salvage at 1c on the 1$ .

anyhow should be enough motors n props n gear boxes .. to keep my crazy stuf flying .

DVDROM to RC BL motor.

the LG 86x VDVROM drive motor looks to be a good candidate , 12v so 3s is no problem , draws .5 a with a 3inch 4 blade .

it is wired for 3 phase allready , but the wire is fine , could do a re wire for upgrade .

the magent ring in bell is quite strong.

any how ..

Forward Swept Fun Jet
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...3&postcount=79

taking what i learned form my sub micro sized FJ test planes.

i made 125% , just that bit more to give nice fuse size for guts ,
and a WS = to ZP UM P51D

no w i don't have the worlds smallest servos there , but they will do the job ,
i will mod them later possibly , remove some casing plastic with my dremmel.

any how so far it glides awesome even with servos .

i plan to get linkage hooked in as elevons first.
than i will try a test glide ..
( waiting on funds in the budget to get a motor and ESC )
( and a good charger )

any how putting ready for working on linkage next .
