before it's gone I've been scanning the articles I've collected and am nesting my warbird info on http://warbirdnotes.blogspot.ca/ and on FB as kpk warbirds.

HI, I picked up the airframe only P_51 from Nitroplanes.

I have some questions that perhaps some of you have worked through - 500 pages is a long thread to go through though I did some searches.

1. Has anyone gone to dual mini elevator servoes mounted on the side of fuselage at the tail.

2. I plan to use this Rimfire 42-50 800kv motor on 4S - any thoughts if this will have sufficient power? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLWV3&P=ML

3. What is the biggest size pack you have used - how did it handle this weight - I am looking at either 4S4000 or 4S5000.

4. Are you using the stock 4 blade prop - how do you like it, if not what is your preferred prop.

I will post my changes to this arf on this thread.

thanks in advance - ken k.

March 17/10- I finished work early and got out out to the field, +9C in Winnipeg Manitoba, amazing March wx this year for us.
I dialed down the aileron throws to about 3/16" max which still gives a bit higher than scale roll rate. I may have to move the pushrod up to lessen this more.

The hand launches have been all successful - an easy toss at 100% power and she flies off. the T bird cruises at 25% power and will loop at 50% power.
After a 4 minute flight the two 2200 zippies ( in parallel) are down to 15% and just warm. The draw I mearured on the bench was at 60 amps. I'm using a turnigy plush 80 speed control.
cheers - ken k.

My T33 Red Knight is from the old Kyosho arf from about 10 years ago that I picked up last fall. I test flew it this afternoon. I replaced the stock Kyosh APL29 motor with a Mega 16/15/2, used the stock Kyosho fan and 2200-3s Zippy lipos giving me a four to five minute flight. Hand launched very nicely and flew majestically! Weights 2.1 pounds rtf.

i picked up a NIB Kyosho T33 edf arf in Colorado. I plan to finish the model aircraft in the RCAF Red Knight paint scheme. The previous owner also included at Mega 16/15/2 inrunnrer that I will use with the stock Kyosho fan.
