Straight out of the box. The phantom comes set in GPS mode.

DJI Phantom 2 + H32D gimbal gopro3 (6 min 41 sec)

I'm not a fan of the tilt lever that comes with the Tx. So I installed a pot on top of the Tx. I now have better feel when tilting and I'm not accidentally knocking the tilt.
Be aware that these upgrades will probably void warranty.

1.6 FW on the gimbal was very notchy on the tilt. The new 1.8 has smoothed it out very nicely.

I have decided to give my trusted X650 a new brain. I will be using Xaircraft motors and Turnigy plush ESC's.
As soon as it arrives (Hopefully tomorrow) I will start to post pics and vids of the install.

The combination of the X650C, V4/8 and DJI seems to be popular, probably due to two reasons.
1) The combo is available at some retailers.
2) The GPS and compass from Xaircraft has beem a bit of a let down and some owners have shelved their kit and gone with the DJI..Hopefully the XA guys will end up releasing a working kit someday.

Look forward to hearing from other users of this combo.
