I havent had much time for my boats lately, I finished up and delivered a static 31" last week, broke down and sold my regular cab truck and bought a mini van my bigger models will fit in easier, got an order for a static build on a 48" hull of a Calvin 44', had a 66" Lowell Brothers hull dropped off to put the running gear in and talked to guys about 3 other builds 2 of them rc I think. All in all a lot going on in Walpole.

Ive been working on 3 new plugs for molds. A 48" thats one one the hulls from Midscoast school of Technology with the tumblehome taken out, 2" added to the keel and a flat added to the sheer. A 29" hardchine that is a modified Chuck Steffan hull with the tumblehome removed, a half inch added to the depth and widened the keel, some of the rake taken out of the bow and a flat added to the sheer with some additional flare in the bow. A 23" thats a modified Midwest kit with again the tumblehome removed, some depth and width added to the keel, some rake taken out of the bow and an inch added to the stern and a flat at the sheer.

I was recently loaned a 31" lobster boat hull to make a mold from. The original builder is no longer making them. Im going to make a couple changes to make it a little different. Im going to add a 1/4 flat area at the sheerline and a quarter inch to the keel to round it so any built for speed dont ride up on it and fall over.

Heres some pics from sea trials of my new 36" lobster boat hull. This boat was finished for speed. It has a 1600kv heli outrunner in it, Im still working out the right prop for it it was still a little overloaded the last run. Ive only been trialing it on 9.9 volts and its going pretty well. The boat shows no roll from wheel torque and apears very stable in the turns.

Here are a few pics of my 22 inch boothbay lobster boat. It has a 16 turn brushed motor in it with a homemade water cooling coil that works very well.

This runs a .10 brushless outrunner with a castle creation sidewinder esc powered with a 12 volt sla battery. Has a 1 3/8 inch prop with unknown pitch that the motor turns easily, n stays quite cool while doing it after 15 mins hard run towing 18 lbs of barge the motor temp is about 100 n the esc heat sink about 140. It draws 8 amps full throttle.
