I purchased a Turnigy Trailblazer XB. I've owned two in the past as well as two Redcat Racing Shredder XB's. After owning and then selling these cars, I've come to find that I really it enjoyed it the most. It's a great size and it's a well built basher.
This is my build and modification of my most current Turnigy Trailblazer XB.
This isn't my first 6 channel helicopter. I built a Belt CP from an eBay kit, but I didn't know how to set it up, so I sold it. I've also flown fixed pitch but no more than a minute before crashing. This was all before I realized that FP and CCPM helis were not the place for me to start. That's when I went to co-axials and 45° flybar helis.
Those got boring, so I decided the Blade SR would be a good starter. My LHS has parts and there are plenty of parts online that can be at my house in 2-3 days if I crash!
This Build Log will be for me to show the modifications I've made to the Blade SR as well as log my learning and experience with this helicopter.
Photos of the stock heli as I received it are below. As I make modifications or start flying, I'll add more blog entries.
