Hi everyone-

scanned from my issue of Model Airplane News November 1950 is Sporty by Walt Musciano.

it's a 65" cabin freeflight which would fly with any power system today.
the model dates to 1940 and reminds me of an enlarged So-Long but certainly has the designers distinctive touch......

Hi Everyone-

this is a full size scan of a copy made from the original plan I used to own ( the original I sent to john pond, it was not found after he passed ) of the

REDWING model aeroplane and supply co, Curtiss Hawk rubber powered model 24".

The plan is undated but the bamboo and motorstick features tell me its from before 1935 or so.

Looks like it could be a good flier with rubber or any power...

Hi Everyone -

This is the full size scan of the Best by Test AIRFLOW 40 wakefield of 1940.

it's a nice flyer, I built mine for S.A.M. electric wakefield and so far have taken two last place finishes

it is a really nice flying model with a flat bottom airfoil. I followed the plans and used cane reed for tail surface and wing tip outlines.

It's been shared with outerzone.

Hi Everyone-

this is Bruce Lester's SUPER ROBOMB class B free flight gas..... scanned from my original issue of Flying Models Feb 1949. added missing page-( had to dig and find original magazine to rescan this page of full size patterns)

This was one of his continuous developments of the robomb series. it looks like it's designed to go up fast and win....

His photographs of the 1930s model "scene" were extensively printed in john ponds model builder column and were a real treasure......

this one is on my list to build as electric rc someday.

it also is a now a S.A.M. U.S. oldtimer with the new rules changes.....

feel free to download the scans, enjoy!

This rare model is now a USA S.A.M. legal oldtimer.

I think the last page of text is missing, I will add it when I find it in my " files "

Hi Everyone-

This scan was copied from my original kit plan of the PAPILLON 1/2a motorglider.

I bought this kit in 1981/2 from hobby lobby for around ten dollars and built it. It was flown with different cox .049 reed engines..... the kit was made in japan , the design is excellent, save for the " keel ". I was warned back then to omit this otherwise a hard landing would damage the fuselage !

it is an excellent flier with a really good structural design and would be a fine flier today with any power system. I may build another sometime for electric rc....

my scan is on outerzone or feel free to download from this post.

enjoy,

jeff
