Well I have picked up a Windrider 737 and stated the process of getting it flight ready. The first step was cutting out the flaps as I am going to be flying off a grass strip in a confined airspace and wanted to be able to make slow approaches. Here is the video I made of the flap cutting

After getting a mCPx a couple of months ago I have progressed from basic hovering to being able to fly full circuits and nose in hovering. It is great how easy this little heli is to fly in the street at the front of my house and the ability to fly it on most days has really helped me improve. As the heli takes a crash well I am able to try more knowing there is a good chance I can just keep on flying, the most I have done so far it to loose a weight from a bullet blade. I am hoping that these skills will translate to my TRex 450 the next time I get a chance to get it out to the field or a local a park.

Still a long way to go to say I am really comfortable with all orientations in flight and still suffer from dumb thumb effect now and then but getting better each flight. I can now even fly in a moderate wind
