A lot of engineering went into the double layer of packaging to insure the model makes it's long trip from the factory to the proud new owner. The top layer holds the wings, engine nacelles and some other items I haven't looked at yet. -

The plastic wire keepers have to be removed before the vertical fins will fully seat into the fuselage openings. -

Per the manual, the 1st thing to be attached is the tail cone afterburner lighting. This is one of the few places where I used the included foam glue. Hoping that in the event I someday need to get it back off, I'll be able to.

Wings were individually bagged and in good shape. Minor ding in the trailing edge of the aileron for the right wing. Shouldn't hurt the flying though. -

A HS-654MG test fitted in place (flap servo bay) after a bit of opening the hole. Oddly enough the pre made mounting holes lined up perfectly.

Took me about 30 minutes to get the lid off the box working by myself since I was trying to keep it intact until the contents were checked for damage. Everything looks good at this point. Items individually bagged and padded with light foam.
