Practice them approaches and landings boy - tired of walking through the gumbo to retrieve it from the rice fields.

Like I've said, took a 20 year hiatus from R/C'n. Really missed it. Went through two Telemasters, still have the second. Would like to renovate this winter and get it up going with new engine of some type and radio.

After doing my maiden flight with the Archer RTF a couple of days ago at a sports complex I realized what I'd been missing. The entire first flight I was thinking how am I going to land and where. Flying off parking lot. Made probably at least 10 approaches trying to get it on the ground. By now, I was shaking all over.

Finally got it down. Didn't need the bucket or garbage bag . Came in made some adjustments to rudder and ailerons and charged all 4 batteries.

Sunday went to local airport. During pre-flight plane wouldn't respond. Unplugged and plugged several times still nothing. Turned everything off and noticed I'd left the plug in the receiver. Removed it, turned on transmitter then receiver and everything worked.

Didn't do a very good pre-flight.
