When I really started model flying in 1982 or there about it was the Robbe Geier electric "glider" that convinced me to take up RC flying again ...



Not the best model for thermalling probably, but at that time I did not really know much about thermals. I had seen Dave Thornburg getting away with his Sunbird :



at the 1978 F3B World championships in Amay, Belgium, but never really encountered a thermal "in person..." I do think this further helped my "love" for thermalling, and now, about 32 years later, I'm going for another flying wing, Ken Bates' Windlord, electric version of course
