Question Trex 450SEV2 Parts for these please?

Where would you get these parts here that won't cost an arm and a leg? My wife just got me this and after a day this happens...so depressing. I am determined to get her back in the air again but I have no idea what or where to call or get these parts....please help.

Hi,i just wanted to do a '''survey'' :P before buying my trexs battery...
First of all,from what ive understood its not a heli to put 20c on..it needs at least 30c (?)..
I wont be flying it into hard 3d etc,since im a ''begginer''
i think the best choice is something at 2500mah and 30c,or 2200mah,
but what times do you guys get in normal flying in this numbers? (with stock motor and esc)
any specific batt to recomend?i's thinking of kong power,and EVO..

I'll be ordering a new Walkera heli this week and am hung up on the TX's that come with them. One has the WK-2402 and the other comes with a WK-2801.

Is there a huge difference in these two remotes? I'm using a Dx6i how do these remotes compare (other than not being bindable to the walkera line)

Ok Here is what I think I have decided to go with !

I thought I might go with the Blade 400

But then alot of people like the Belt-CP V2 would be alot better for me ,knowing I have just been useing the CX2 for about 2 months

Hey guys,

Now that I've gathered enough experience to fly FP helicopters comfortably, I want to take the next step and go CP.

Now I've been tracking the Align 250 for a while because I am into "small" RC craft and I think it's a beauty. Obviously, this doesn't say much, so: would you consider it a stable helicopter? Also, are there any helicopters (250, 450 size) utilizing a Ben Hiller head and is this even common/possible for a CP system?

Discussion ESC caught fire! help

Hi,

I finally had all issues on my hk 450 fixed and took it for a test flight. It flew fine for about 1 min and the esc caught fire. I had the mystery pentium 30A esc on it . I unplugged the battery and blew off the fire before anything else caught fire. I use a 3s lipo with the Turnigy E500 6T 4000Kv 200W Heli Motor . Can someone guide me to calculate the Amps i need on esc. I am gonna go the LHs and get a good quality esc but want to know the amp rating before i do so dont want to burn another esc.

Question DX-7 Expo Setting?!

Did some searching and haven't found a clarification to this.

The DX-7 has a number of different Expo settings.
What does what?

DR / Expo: On this screens I can add actual expo individually for rudder, aileron and elevator. It's set to +20% for each. Changing expo creates a dip or peak in the middle of the graph, I would think expo would create an "S" shaped curve(?).
Auto DR/ Expo: I understand the basics of this but I'd like to keep the expo on. I have Norm to "P-0" but that can be overridden by the Rudder DR switch, which is also Throttle Hold so it's a moot point really.
In the Swash Mix menu expo can be set On /INH, As well as on all the curves individually.

How do I just add and enable 20% expo?

Help! 9303 Gyro Programming Question

I've got a JR 9303 and I picked up a RTF Blade 400. Well I followed the manual on how to set the heli to a t. I took off for the first time and the tail was wagging back and forth violently. The Blade 400's E-flite gyro has a remote gyro sensitivity that plugs into the gear channel. Well the 9303 is set to send the remote gyro sensitivity to AUX 2. The stock spektrun RX only has 6ch and I have it hooked up exactly how it is here on page 5

I went to my device select page under the system menu and in the trim column Gyro is listed under Aux 2 and it wouldn't let me disable it to move it to gear. I just set my endpoint to 65% on gear so I could fly it which was fine as long as I don't flip the gear switch at which that point I wouldn't have a gyro at all :eek: Any ideas on how to get the 9303 to trasmit the remote gain on the gear channel?

Help! MKS DS8910 step down?

I have a DS8910 with a YG401B gyro and a Turnigy Plush 40. The servo doesn't respond at all when plugged in. I hooked up the voltmeter which read 5.8V of output at the Gyro. Although MKS says this servo runs at 4.8V, several posts sugest this servo will work at 6V. Do I really need a step down? and if so what exactly is a step down?

Help! T-rex 500 tail waggin'

Hello all of you kind enough to attempt to help me with this.

I am the proud owner of a new-to-me T-rex 500. I have had the heli about a month and have had 10 very successful flights considering this is me first real heli. I quickly got used to the very solid performance of the 500 with the supplied Mavrik G5 CF blades, white align CF paddles and white align CF tail blades.

Soon I was looking for more cyclic out of the setup, so I cranked the Swash mixing to 75% for elev, pitch and aileron. This gave me a bit faster roll rates, but not knowing how I had effected the setup, I decided to inquire at my LHS. Once there, I walked away with new KBDD paddles and tail blades and was told to set me Swash mix back up to the stock 60% for all three levels. Two test flights later I have some tail wag that reducing my gyro gain from 70% to 60% did not cure.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which direction I should go in to get quicker cyclic out of this setup AND how I can fix the tail wag?

Here are some numbers:
Controller: DX7
Gyro: GY401 DS: on Delay @ 75 Limit @ 80/140
Tail Servo: Futaba S9257
Cyclic servos: Futaba S9650
Motor: Scorpion - 3026-1210
PInion: 16t

Please remember, the heli originally flew PERFECTLY.

Should I go back to the original tail blades AND paddles?

Question Trex 500 tail jumping?

When I throttle up just before 1/2 stick the tail jump back and forth. I started with the gyro set at 65% now Im down to 45%. It seems to be better. Is that what was wrong? Im new so my buddy set the heli up and I dont know much about it. I know he has the throttle at 85% at full and pitch set for my flight level. Its a 401 gyro and a DX7 radio.

I'm in the market for an upgrade from my msr. Which is fun but to easy now, as I fly planes as well the BnF's were nice as i have a dx6i tx. I'm looking at getting a 4#3b or a cb100, it bugs me that I get yet another tx in my workshop.

Why can't manufactures just make a 2n1 (esc/gyro) unit. I hate having equipment acting as dust collectors or having to take different tx's to the park to fly.

Is there a link to anyone that has modd'd the about heli's to run with a spektrum rx?

Hi,

I am having an issue lately where my Li-po only cell number 1 happen was unbalance only around 0.2 -0.4 volt for 3 units 3S 2200ma lipo than using more than 20X cycle and 0.2Volt for 1 units 5S 3000ma brand new just using 3X used.My lipo all well balance starting i received and used.
Not sseing this when using Turnigy K-force 40a...i am thinking new ESC emax 40A is having an issue ...anybody have this kind of issue ..... i am using Turnigy Accucel 6S balancer/changer with 5a 12v Power supply ... try used another changer seem still same issue ..
The question is any way or how to recovered unbalance Li-po only cell number 1?
What other thing that can make unbalance Li po cell except bad Li-po and bad charger.

Great news......Hobby Lobby Intl of Brentwood TN now carries the FULL line of Gaui Helicopters.

I was in there today and they had them all on display....!!!

We now have another source for helis and parts. They said they have a "Full" supply of parts...

We need to start supporting them so they will see there is a large group using this heli.

I have been dealing with HL for many years and they are great !! The people all "know" models......shipping is fast and their warranty is unmatched.

Luckily I live in the same town so I get to see all the new stuff and NOW I have my own private supply of Gaui parts !! Man it doesn't get any better than this !

Now maybe there will be a few other 550 fliers at my field.....below is the heli page.

Give them a try next time you need something "Gowwy"...

Discussion Robbe Blue Arrow XL

Hi there !

Newbie alert !

I have recently bought a Blue Arrow XL (co Axial) and have a lot of fun but a few crashes.

Nothing major, a few blades to be repalced, the skids etc... But on my last one (which didn't appear to be anymore violent than that), if I broke a blade, I faced up a new problem.
When increasing the power on the chopper, it spins to the right. I have trimmed left but to no avail.
Also when trimmed left, I cannot get full power on the blades so it lifts off (It spins so I am holding the tail and get the feel). But if I trim in the center or left and add power then all the thrust is available.
The same goes if trimmed right to begin with, until lift off then I yaw left, the aircraft suddenly loses "lifting power" and drops.

I have had a look at setting the "sensitivity" of the gyro on the receiver but with my very rough changes, haven't managed to correct all that.

My idea is that there is a problem with the speed controller but I have been able to find out anywhere how to reset it (Robbe 400 Speed controller is the only reference I have found).

I am planning to take it back to the shop so they can advise me but in the meantime, I thought one of you you wizards might have the answer.

Since I've had my v2 i noticed the tx was real touchy, but learned to deal with it. Had trouble making turns. I remembered something nutcaze said in his video about the v2. It has the same fly bar as the belt cp. Why would a small fp need the same fly bar as a 450 belt? I swaped fly bars with my old v1 and it flys great. Not as touchy.:D

Spent 460€ for the mini vstabi & an outrage head to pimp my trex 450...

or take to money and buy a "more serious" helicopter.... sth like a atom500 should be affordable for 500€ (minus gyro, since i could use the 401 i allready have in the 450)...

this is bugging me since months... :(

having a "perfect" flying 450heli or a good 500....
