Hi,
I'm using the HCS12 microcontroller board and I want to connect a gps module to it. The GPS module supports the ttl serial communication but the microcontroller supports the rs232 communication..Ive read somewhere that I have to use ttl/rs232 converter .. is that it? or do I need to do something else?

Which GPS module do you have.
If you don't have it yet you can get one that is RS232.
sometimes you can get the same gps module in different configurations (ttl and rs232).
Yes you are correct you need to convert it.
You can use this for $1.95.

Motorola HC12 micros have TTL (actually proper term is "inverted" RS232) UARTs. Best solution is to bypass the MAX232 converters on your board or, better still, use software UART with GPIO pins.
