So.....I have an aircraft theat is currently powered by an OS.91FS and would like to convert to electric. I want to use the A123 cells as they have done so well on my 25 and 40 size planes.
The question is: What motor should I look at and how manny cells??? This is going in my Autogyro and has a lot of drag.....so keep that in mind. I will be using a narrow pitch large diameter type prop I would think. That is what I am doing with the .91FS.
Once at the .60 size electrics.....I am a little lost. So please, direct me in the right direction?

Photo of the gyro....... :D Over 6ft. rotor span. .91FS is the perfect power plant, but want to go electric now.

Good lord that thing is funky! :D
I have no idea how to help you! Don't know if you need a plane motor or a heli motor! ;)

Think of it as a fixed wing 60 size fixed wing.....like an Astro Hog. 60 two stroke or the .91FS. Dont let the rotors throw you for a loop. It would be the same thing as if I was asking how to convert my Astro Hog that also has a .91 FS. as I may do!!!
See the above photo I am thinking of going with, but need a clue with the A123 cells.
Thanks for the help.....
Dave
Sorry......I should move this to the glow to electric thread.....
