Does anybody know what's cheapest place to buy these units.

This is the cheapest I've found: http://www.starlite-intl.com/Detail.asp?pid=1479

If anybody knows a cheaper place please let me know. Thanks

em406a is actually an em411 not em406. Slight differences in pinout if I recall. $40 is going price for those and if your lucky half that on fleabay.

Are the pinouts the only diffrence, because I asked a person at starlite and they said em-406 and em-406a were the same, the only diffrece was one used lead in the solder.

I am actually looking for a GPS that will work with the RCAP3. Is there a better GPS that works with RCAP3 or is the em-406 the only one?

I own all three of these but must admit going from memory here. em406a is ROHAS em411. And I believe performance specs are the same for all 3.

I also have dozens of em4-something-somethings that I pulled from mobile USB units that cost less than $20:

Some told me only hardware change was needed, others only firmware update. Turns out they were all wrong, and it's necessary to do both.

More recently I been pulling GPS from $10 cel phones.
