So what do you all reccommend? For a beginner too and price is a concern
but I don't want junk either.

I wouldn't recommend *any* small electric heli for a beginner.
Too fragile, and too skittish!

Hi Matthew,
I would recommend the Lite Machine Corona. Small, Electric and very strong.
it is fixed pitch, but will teach you how to fly.
Try www.ezonemag.com
The electric helicopter section has a lot of info on this model.
Have fun,
Jason

HI Mathew,
I have to agree with Jason here... Although micros are cool and I really
have enjoyed my Hornet, before and after the CP conversion, nothing beats
a Corona for a relaxing, economical intro into heli's. It has great
manuals, you will learn basic heli building skills from them, and it will
be significantly easier than building and setting up a CP heli. The
economy will come in the repair costs, with the Corona being almost
indestructable!
Hopefully youwill learn lots from this first heli, recover most of your
costs by selling it, and move up to a very nice heli, the LOGO 10:)
