I bought one of these, it is the model with the laser pinpointer. I think it
will we the way to go for tuning the nitros. I guess these babies retail for
around $90 (with the laser pointer) but I got it a bit cheaper through a
buddy who gets them direct. If nothing else it is an expensive cat toy, they
go nuts chasing the laser.
I can think of a lot of uses for it including with my streetbikes, you can
tell if the cylinders are all running at the same temp by checking each
exhaust pipe, helps pinpoint trouble.
Does anyone else have one of these?

Yup, got it with my second nitro. Don't have the laser (no one nearby had it
and I saved $20 to boot).

I've got a Raytek 12:1 "Raynger ST". Mine shows large errors when pointed
at some metallic surfaces. Accuracy is also compromised when unit is
subjected to ambient temperature changes. They're nice but you have to know
their limitations.

12:1 is pretty high...need to get real close with it...as for shiny metals,
if it does not have an adjustable effericent(sp), it will show big flaws
with shiny metal. quick cure is to put a little flat black paint on the
metal somewhere and target that...much more accurate.
