Had to put away the Kit for awhile and i lost the manual. Associated wants
you to buy it from them, man and i used to be a big supporter, cmon guys
scan one and provide it to your customers! Anyway does anyone have a PDF or
some electronic copy? They used to have them at the web site about 2 years
ago.

Losi still has them for there kits on the web, is there still a big stink
between associated and losi fans or is that old news? ;) just wondering,
its been awhile since i was rc'ing -------Thanks

Hmmm, that's strange. I d/led the PDF manual for the RC10GT from their
website a few months ago, but, like you say, it's not available now.
That's rather stupid, because when I was car shopping, I found the PDF
manual handy for comparing cars. Also, who would use the manual besides
Assoc. customers.

I still have the manuals on my hard drive. I guess I shouldn't erase them,
in case I need to print a page or two.

At least Associated only charges $2, which is
reasonable for a printed manual. I don't know why
they removed the free versions unless their internet
expenses were outrageous. Why would a large company
risk annoying a current or potential customer for $2?
I once called Airtronics and they wanted $15(!) for
a radio manual. I refused to pay and haven't bought
any Airtronics items since. That $15 fee has cost them
$400+ in sales (so far). In contrast, I once called
Mugen to ask for 2 part numbers for a used buggy. Mugen
sent me a printed manual at no charge. I "rewarded" them
by selling the older buggy and buying a new Mugen kit.
I don't call RC companies often, but here is my personal
list of good & bad customer service over the years:

Good : Mugen, CVEC Technologies, Hitec
Bad : Airtronics
Worst: OFNA

Later,
Scott
