I'm about to purchase Clearview rc but I need to make sure I get the right controller. Will this wireless controller work:

It will work, but you need a special USB controller that is built and feels like a real radio Tx. You will be better off if you get one of these:

You can get them from many other places as well.

This Esky transmitter is only 4 channel. Can it do 3D on the sim? I ask because I have a Lama v3 transmitter. Will this work as well?

Yes, you can do 3d - ClearView needs only the position for the 4 sticks - ClearView implements complete simulation for 6 channel transmitter on per model basis. As in your real Tx, channel 6 is the pitch channel and it is generated in the Tx based on the throttlew stick input and the pitch curve. ClearVeiw does the same. Channel 5 is usually gyro channel and is also maintained internally by ClearView.
