Cool! Looks like a lot of fun.
What does it weigh? Flight time? What battery are you using?

Hey Rich , I'm using pg-03's for gyros' , cheap ...but they do pretty good ! RCvertt ...it weighs around 620 grams , and still tuning , but it will fly for 8-9 minuts on a 2100 , 11.1 volt battery .....Maybe more once I get it trimmed out better . The mini-mix is very straight forward and will do alot more than I know how to do .....Clarkst , has been very helpful ,and patient , because I have ask several questions on this mixer , simply becuase I am not a electronics , or a computer guy .....(thanks again Clarkst ..... )

Terry,
Thanks for the info. I've got some inexpensive Blue Arrow Nano Gyro 2.3gram gyros laying around I'll try them and see how things go. Its reassuring to hear that the mini-mix is straight forward. I've been following the MK & UAVP threads but I'm not at all certain that they are within my abilities. I have a Spectrosolutions OMM Quad and an Octo, but I don't like the thermal leveling and don't try use it at all. If this works relatively well it will be great. Rich

Are your PG-03's GWS' ? I have tried the pg-03's from r2hobbies, and they do not work for my tricopter. The gws' work great.

Signguy , I'm using a pg-o3 on each motor , and no rudder gyro ... I could not make the quad trim out with a gyro there . Under hard acceleration "punch-outs" , is the only time the rudder gyro would help . Mine will fly about 8 mins on a 2100 3s , which is alot of concentrating .... I think a 3-axis controller {something self leveling } will be necessary for FPV . Thats my goal , with a quad , or a tri-copter ..:D

Hey, thats sorta what I am looking to build but with a foam or Carbon Fiber body! I am also experimenting with a rectangular setup. That looks awesome, about how much did it run you?

I have about $ 60 in the gyro's $ 5 in the 1/2" pvc pipe , motors are 2410-09 by tower pro (hobby city) , and $ 12.95 x 4 , for the esc's (turnigys 10 amp) I am using Clarkst "mini mix" mixer to do all the mixing ....See on the vtol site , or e-mail him triad.minimix@gmail.com
