Bud Elder makes pods for the Bubble Dancer. I have one on my Bubble Dancer and it is done very nicely.

Bud Elder lives in Florida. He makes top quality Bubble Dancer & Alegro pods, + Alegro V-mounts which work very well on DLG's too. the V-mounts come with a very nice molded rudder horn. My last email addy for him was elderb13@earthlink.net

A number of guys use my pods for BD's and Supras.
The BD one is actually not designed orignally for a BD. It has a little longer nose and has a thin pylon.

I've sent PM to the folks who posted they have suitable products. It seems like there may be others who would be interested in Pods. So I would think it would be useful if information could be posted by the pod builders on such things as layup info, boom size, availability and price, or would that be inappropriate in this forum?

I would think it would be useful if information could be posted by the pod builders on such things as layup info, boom size, availability and price, or would that be inappropriate in this forum?only if you're the pod builder guy that spent hundred's of dollars building molds and weeks experimenting with layups and then years building pods. A "semi-pro" pod builder ends up with a lot of propietary knowledge that folks pay their good money for and may not be interested in giving it away.
now, on the other hand, that doesn't mean you can't give out info left and right. I have given plenty of advice on pod making, even describing a lot of my personal tips and tricks, but have yet to just lay out everything step by step for making a Taboo DLG pod or other composite parts I make.
In my mind, I like to see that someone seeking information is making some effort to discover for themselves by putting in work researching the needed info. The depth of knowledge you gain from searching the WHY is much more important than the HOW.
There is plenty of free info available on rcgroups sailplane and composite forums and the CRRC site on pod building info to get someone going. Or you could purchase Terry Luchenbach's molding video.
Someone could do like I did and research a pod builder's old rcgroups posts, and examining his advice AND holding his pods in my hand, then comparing them to other folks advice and info and figuring out how to reverse engineer the pod. It took some time, but worked great and I learned a lot!

:D Kevin, I was hoping that folks take my post as positive encouragement to go out and learn for themselves, not as an argument against posting "super-secret layup recipies".
...holy smegma...now that's funny! ;)

Marks drawings all have pod layups. You can extrapolate from there. Assume his are the lightest weight ones available. In reality if you were building pods for folks, you would use fewer layers of heavier cloth to spend less time. Plus there are guys who really do need the heavier, stronger pod. Just watch the landing areas.....
PS, no one is making a killing building pods.
Discussion of layups, making molds, etc is probably better in http://www.rcgroups.com/composites-fabrication-210/

Making a killing making pods, LOL how about wrecking one to make half of another one (just kidding) It takes time ,20 pair of weird scissors, sticky fingers, and a firm knowledge that polyester resin and epoxy resin are not friends.
You will get there ,at least to where I am ,Maby not to where Will or Kevin is.

I dunno Will, I think you misunderstood :)
I thought that info would be what a potential buyer would want to know, wouldn't you?
Actually, when I said "layups", it was more in the order of indicating whether the pods were all CF (bad for 2.4, right), kevlar, fg or a mix.
I make all my dlg pods, have for several years. But it's not time effective to do that for one pod. Darn, now you've got me defensive :(
Anyhow, I've made connections, hope this thread might have been useful for someone else.
