My flaps work fine. However...they reach full travel (about 75 degrees) when the stick is only half way down, as opposed to reaching that point when the stick reaches bottom. To put it another way...all the effective control is from stick all the way up to stick half way down...the bottom half of the travel has no effect on the servo because the servo is already at full travel. This is an x9303. Am I missing something simple here? It doesn't seem like this could be correct. I have found no reference in the manual or in the Sherman document and was set up according to the Sherman document. Any thoughts. Thanks.

When you set up the servos, did you set it up with the stick all the way up then put the horn on? Did you have full travel before you put it in the wing? Do you have 100% travel set?

Ed,
I set it up with the stick at the top then put the horn on about 35 degrees forward. I had full travel on the servo before installing and after, it is the effect of the stick that is the issue. Travel adjust is set at 150. I feel I'm posing this poorly. Just don't understand why I get full throw from half stick travel. Kind of like a 2:1 ratio (stick to flap travel top to center stick = full flaps) and I want a 1:1 ratio (stick at top to bottom = full flap).
I did not even think to notice if when checking the servos before setup and out of the plane if I had what I wanted or something happened during programming.

I believe that this is your problem. Don't manually offset the horn. Use the sub trim to establish your offset. IMHO the servo is stopping at stick travel because it cannot go any further.

Check the internet for articals by Sherman Knight, JR set-up's. he has written on set-up for JR radios sence the JR-347.
In fact I believe there is a artical at Horizon Hobbies on setting up the 9303 for sailplanes.
here's a link

I have used his articals for setting all my sailplanes up.

Thanks for the help, guys. In butterfly...lowered the spol-->flap value. That did the trick.
