The news has surfaced on various forums that the long time editor of RC Car Action, Model Airplane News, Radio Control Boat Modeler, R/C on DIY, and the new Radio Control Show on Air Age Media website passed away suddenly in his sleep, Jan 20. No further info or cause is known at this time. :(

Was he the fellow that was towed around on the barge doing his review? Sorry to hear this news.

When I retired early from GM, I found that the winters were going to drive me nuts unless I found something that I really liked to do. I found Chris's show on DIY and he, through his show, pointed me to the boat building bug I now have.
Here's an article regarding his passing.

I too all ways enjoyed his DIY show and had wished that they had done more. He will be greatly missed, :( the scary part is that he was not that old.

I remember always talking with Chris at the NY WRAM show, he was quite the personality and he always had such great enthusiasm for the hobbies and people around him would catch the hobby bug.
One of the many things that he accomplished was getting kids into the hobbies, be it boats, cars or planes, he would make his presentation exciting.
He will be missed and the hobbies are poorer by his passing.
