Howdy all, my name is Carlos Ward, I'm new to this site, I'm 33 yrs old and live in Kerkeri.
I've never had much to do with Rc's, but as a kid, my cousin had 2 monster beetles and a Falcon, I pestered my folks something fierce but to no avail.

I've now decided to have a crack, but I really don't like the modern RC Cars and trucks. They're too flashy and blingy for my taste.
After a few weeks of fluttering through trade me I found several The Falcons, and realized a whole new Hobby just opened up for me, Buying and restoring old RC cars I remember from my youth. I've looked right into it and realize it is a relatively expensive hobby and I don't expect to make a lot of money out of it.

The Falcon that I ended up buying is in moderately good, but well used condition. It comes with a few original spare parts, but the right hand side suspension mount is fractured and the rims are gouged and ratty.

What I was wondering was, is there any where in NZ online where you can find Vintage Rc car parts?
I know you can find them on trade me from time to time, but was hoping for something faster.

Cheers all.

Hi There,

As long as you have the manual (or you can find it somewhere online) and you can find the part number of the part you need, any hobby shop should be able to find out if they can get the part. I work at a hobby shop and we had a few people coming through with old grasshoppers and fortunately we are able to get any spare parts needed and we got one person a whole new chassis! May I suggest Hobby City (www.hobbycity.co.nz) on quay st as they can do mail orders. Give them a call and they should be able to see if they can find out if they can get parts... (ask them to call their supplier to check as they have likely never stocked any falcon parts)
