Left side too.
Left side sticks are found on the Navy F14 normally, but not on the right as far as I was aware. (I have one)
A modified control panel as well.

They sell the sticks as another option, so it isn't beyond the
reach of anyone willing to invest in the Robbe/futaba F series radios.

That looks like a switch 16 keypad from MCD on the right top.

That's what I want a radio with so many functions I have to strain to find things to do with all the channels!

This would be a great set up for a towboat that utilizes flanking rudders, or anything that requires independant control.
It's my radio, but I added the right side sticks in photoshop.
I am considering doing this however.

Ships and things used to stock the dual stick option, but it's
no longer on their website. Maybe they could special order it for your.
Robbe still lists it on their website, ... gives you an idea of cost.

Umi,
I have already talked to Al at Ships N Things, and he was at the Cabin fever show. He said he still stocks these. The twin stick gimble is presently $150. That is 1/2 the price of the complete radio system with servos.
So I need to make a tough decision on this one. Do I invest in the F-14 and have a pretty great setup and a very expensive radio, or, do I invest another $150 in my 8U and try to put the twin gimbles in it for throttles only. I have just invested $150 in converting it to 2.4GHz with two receivers?
I could end up with two radios with twin throttles only, or one radio with twin throttle and twin steerable rudders or propulsion units, and the other radio without any twin capabilities.
Descisions, descisions....
I'm wide open for some SAGE advice.

This took 10 minutes to install. That included two minutes to swap out the axis directional control plugs to operate the flanking rudders correctly.
Now I have no more excuses for my uncoordinance! The towboat now steers like the bigguns. I just have to learn how to use them. :)
