Happy New Year!,
Has anyone done one of these yet? Pricey but interesting for a warbirds digital still/video cam hauler.

I am thinking about this one powered by....big AXI (5530 series) or Turnigy low-cost beast.
Peace,
Edd

Hi sarg96,
Ralph is spot-on; downcity NY.
How is the weather in SC? First day above 32* here in RI for almost a month!
I picked up the CMP J-3 Cub from A-K Models and will turn it into this style of plane. I do like the L-19, but it is over $300.00 more than what I paid for the Cub (91" WS).

Hey Edd, your old NEAT buddy Mr. Nciad from Lititz,PA. here. What are your impressions of the Big Cub you got from AK?? Do the doors on both sides take away from the scale appearance??

Hey Gregg!,
Actually, the doors are very functional for getting hands in-out while the wing is on. I want to put more video/GPS/logger stuff inside, so the "cave with acess" looks like it will work for me. I am the one who gets the in-air videos during our annual "Warbirds Over Woodstock", so I need a big hauler, and something that the older flyers can see (and avoid!!!),
Got a clean PET scan on the 13th...should be alive and kicking at NEAT 2009, especially night flying.
I am really, really thinking of spending the next "stimulus" check that will be in the mail after tomorrow  on the L-19. I need another slow warbird...
Say hi to the crew for me...
Peace,
Edd

Glad to hear all is well in the health department. Will pass along your well wishes to the rest of the crew. We all (including Dick) are looking forward to another year at Arnold's pleasure pasture. As for the stimulis check, I'd make sure the sucker doesn't bounce first before buying your Cessna. You know what happens when they print money with nothing to back it up! I am working on two twins, a C-47 and a large Aero-45S,hope to have one or both done for NEAT. Talk to you later.

Thanks for the info and I have been looking for a cub that size. I use to own and fly one out of Race Point on Cape Cod when I was a youngster. The wx is in the 40's here and a cold front is pushing thru tonight with expected flurries. Boy, I can't wait for spring and some good flying wx.
Best Wishes
