.....I just posted this in the Sailplane forum and I want to post the same message here. While sourcing out material for my Zaic Floater G-110 thats
under going two builds here in this forum. I looked all over the net for an
adjustable towhook to add to the kit but with no luck. I did find a couple
that were both very pricey and junky looking and didn't offer a good range
of adjustment. A friend of mine sent me one that he had a friend make who was a machinist and it is a jewel. It is based on the old Airtronics design
and made from solid aluminum stock. I have been so impressed with it
that it has had me looking at mico-milling machines all weekend on the
internet. If you think our hobby could use a first class adjustable towhook
at a price we hobbyist can afford then please respond to this thread.

Thanks

The Kennedy Composites adjustible tow hook for the Supra seems pricey at $15 each plus shipping.

The hook looks good, but it should be possible to design, produce, and sell an adjustible tow hook for a lot less. I have one that I acquired probably 20 years ago which is made of a 3" long aluminum extrusion with about a 5/16" square cross section, a threaded hook wire, and a couple of lock nuts. I couldn't begin to recall how much I paid for it - but I would bet it was less than $5 at today's prices.
