So if you want to make an engine for your boat you might take a look at this. AWESOME! Pete

The Conley (http://www.conleyprecision.com/) V8 has been around for a good 10-15 years, and is being superseded by their Stinger engine. IIRC, their older V8 was based on a Chevy 327.

I've seen one running in a truck but never seen one in a boat. Awesome.

I was only refering to actually making an engine for a boat. It can be done --if your really a good machinist. Something like this would be pretty cool in a boat.

We were looking for a 1/10th or 1/12th scale engine model castings, but
when it came down to it, most lost that signature V-8 sound as
the displacement dropped.

If you go to the conley website (http://www.conleyprecision.com/), it shows a few different configurations......you can even buy a supercharger
Part of the dream baby, a 1/4 scale CC Continental with one of those hanging out of it.

Very good videos. Umi is right about the sound. Does sound better with the tuned pipes on. Sounds a bit like my 430 in the Lincoln with no pipes on it.Seems to be lots more of these motors around than I thought. Now if somebody could mass produce them for boats and cars ect????? Might be a bit pricy hey? Pete

You used to be able to get castings for the engine for around $400-$500 bucks.

UMI. Those engines are really impressive. Are they kits that can be bought or already made and for sale? A couple of those V-8's in a proper sized model boat would be very cool I think. Pete

Pete, the Conley V-8 has been available for years, decades actually. It is a regular production item you can order from Conley. The last price I was aware of for one of them was around $6500.

Uuk,guuck, choke, cough, sneeze, and holy crap. Ahem! I think a real one is less than that. However I may win the power ball sometime and then watch out. Ha! Pete
