Hi everyone!
Im having trouble trying to get my USB interface working on my mac. I read something along the lines of...
windows will automatically power up the interface which of course then enables it to work correctly.

However, on the mac, it will only power up the usb if it draws enough current/sends a high enough signal.Or something like that.

When i insert this USB adapter it comes up in the mac profiler, but no signal is passed on. The LED doesnt power up and im guessing that this means that the chip is not fully working. Im sure some of you know what it is etc. Anyways, here are a few pics of the front and back of USB interface. Is there anyway I can modify it so that the mac recognises it??? Or is there an easier solution??

This is like calling up a mechanic and saying, "Hey, my cart won't start. It makes a sound like this when I try to start it...vrumfle vrumfle vrumfle. Can you estimate how much it will cost to fix it?"

If you don't know what your problem is, then it's difficult to suggest a solution.

I suggest you investigate further and determine exactly what your problem is, then return and post additional details.

could it be that the device simply has not been designed for use with Macs ? - The clue may be in the comment "windows will automatically...."

maybe the device doesn't draw enough current... but my guess is that the descriptor / code in the PIC is written for Windows and the Mac OS doesn't detect / see the device...

Plug the device into an Intel / AMD based PC running XP and see if its detected, at least that will prove it actually works and aint a duff un !

Other than that.. based on the info posted... I'm with Toshi !
