I was looking online at the documentation for Google Earth Pro and read that you can get real-time GPS tracking if you hook up a GPS via USB or serial port to a computer. Could this then be used w/ a radio modem to have a real-time "image" of the UAV's position. Or, and this would probably be easier, could I send the GPS data via the modem to a laptop which runs Google Earth? Does anybody here have experience doing that or something similar? It would appear to me it would give results similar to the MIIRO UAV system. If you have experience in this, is it actually "real time", or is there a considerable lag? Thanks :)
