To Epoxy or Not CF Ribbon

I want to add cf ribbon as spar caps and am wondering if I could use fiber glass resin instead of epoxy to adhear it ,good,bad? Thanks Pete

Epoxy... you'll be much happier with the strength.

Polyester resin (what you call fiberglass resin), doesn't always adhere so well to wood. Also, a lot of it has a wax that comes to the surface and excludes air so it sets up hard right to the edge. If it doesn't have wax, the edge stays sticky.

Epoxy can have "blush", but you can wash that off. It sticks to wood very nicely.
