Hello all,

I have been RCing for a number of years and am thinking about taking the UAV/AP plunge. Perhaps work the fun into a small agri support business down the road.

First thing is first. YEs I saw the thread with thousands of informative links that span the spectrum of the topic. For right now I need the basics to start with.

I am coming from a simi scale flying but I also understand the practical needs of a non-scale airframe. I am starting on a MQ-9 "Reaper" style bird to learn on plus it looks cool. Not the Nitro ARF but rather a 6 foot plus wing span with a much more spacious fuse to place components. The next bird will be more of a Hunter style, larger fuse with even more room. Both planes are to be electric. Might put a glow engine on the bigger Hunter style.

But, first I need to know the basics...

Anybody have any "how to" and "that’s why" links or advise?

Thanks for your help in advance,

Gorden
