Morning everyone.

I am very new to flying, but I do have some history in computers and micro controllers.

Just thought I would fire away an idea and see what you all think...

The Hitech Micro 05s and the Multiplex Zebra ZR-105SF have to be the same hardware, no?
If it is (and I strongly believe so), we have a good HW platform to elaborate with since they both contain a PIC16F676 from Microchip. That micro controller is ICSP. From what I understand we could make our own (read as open) software to this high quality hardware platform, no?

Ideas:

* More outputs
* Inputs
* Function switches for things that some controllers don't have (like mixing and reversing)
* "Pattern switches" to extend the TX functionality. Like, "do THIS with the stick to flip in/out landing gear"
* Some kind of "slave port" to daisy chain other devices
* Diagnostics?
and more...

Does anyone have more information on that hardware? Anyone ever tried to extract the software to look at the design? We could collect and share info. here.

Link to a good photo of the HW:

I'll fill in with more HW info.

Could the circuit named "31136" be this one:

What do you think?

asz,
I successfully reprogrammed mine a number of times, see
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=765692

I have been flying regularly for the last year with it programmed to receive futaba pcm1024. Happy programming
