Does anyone know of a UK source for Silicone ribbon cable? (i.e. flexible, not the stiffer PVC insulated types)

Essentially what I'm after is very similar to servo cable, except I'm after 5 connectors not 3. The number of connectors can be higher as I'm guessing that any such cable would tear longitudinally.

This stuff seems to be very hard to track down!

In the limit I'm happy to buy from an overseas source, but a UK source would be preferable.

I have NEVER seen xtraflex ribbons, but I will look around websites, do you need "rainbow" cable or would all the same color be OK?

Could you adapt some of the flat film ribbon cable like is used inside printers and fones?

Rainbow would be ideal, preferably in 22 or 24 AWG.

I have found this US based company, Cicoil (www.cicoil.com). I'm going to call them later and ask if they have any UK distributors. The closest "off the shelf" match they make is a 6 connector, non rainbow ribbon that's available in a whole load of different gauges (including 22 and 24 AWG). I’m guessing that I can tear off one of the wires, or buy the 10 way variant and tear it in half.

If they give me any useful info I'll post it later.

Found another US company, Calmont, that appear to make coloured Silicone ribbon cable.

In the UK this is available from www.in2connect.co.uk
