you should chek the glow plug

Jan 13, 2009, 12:15 PM
you might have broken the engine in wrong so it is loosing compression. or the
glow plug is bad. just pull start it with out the glow plug igniter in. it should have good
compression.:D

buy a new engine or rebuild the engine but buying a new engine is the best way.

mgtguy
Jan 14, 2009, 09:44 PM
you can buy a new piston and piston sleve but buying a new engine would be the best way

you would also have to buy a crank shaft. his engine just might be out of
tune but im pretty sure the engine is bad. :D

How much is it to rebuild the motor?

mgtguy
Jan 14, 2009, 11:23 PM
i would realy sugjest just getting a new motor because it would cost like 80 bucks for a piston and sleve

mgtguy
Jan 14, 2009, 11:27 PM

alot more then buying a new engine. you can buy a broken in engine for like under $100 bucks. plus rebuilding it means breaking the engine in again.
what kind of car is it?

before you buy a new engine check to make sure carb isnt gummed up, when my nitro evader sat it wouldnt start, i put some nitro into the air intake and it fired up and ran untill that gas i put it ran out. try what i said first.

i recently rebuilt my engine (DTX 18) after the airfilter fell off and it sucked up a whole bunch of dirt. its pretty easy and cost me MUCH less than the engine was. getting a engine off ebay thats already broken in also isnt a great idea because you wont know how well the breakin proccess was done (did the guy really know what he was doing!!)

yeah but rebuilding cost alot depending on the engine for me to rebuild
my go tech .28 (which isn't bad) it cost's me like $75 bucks just for
a sleeve. which is why i bought a broken in engine
