first im new here and so far it is a goodlooking sight.

i am building my first boat. a round nose hydro. it is going to be 24"
long and 10" wide. i have been looking at motors and don't really know
what i am looing at. i don't know what size would be a good choice. some
of the parts i have been looking at are the solinger hydro system
(rudder system), and the AquaCraft Brushless B36 Motor with 5mm Motor
Shaft but i don't know if it is to small or to big.... the one i am
looking at comes with aquacraft 12-14 cell esc with cooling plates and a
metal water jacket for cooling the motor as a kit for $149.00. also what
kind of servo do i need? ohh yea and props im just lost there...... just
trying to get some info from people that have already been through
this.

thanks for your help

most of that size hydros I've seen use a 'mini' servo(hi-tec hs-225b). use a
graupner 'k-40' or an octura x440/3blade prop with that motor, should fly.

Ditto that. Good combo. I run 4S lipos on my AQ motor/esc setup. You have to
be careful though because there is no lipo cutoff in the AQ ESC! My boat is
bigger than yours and I get mid 40's with the X440 3 blade.
