Motor parts conversion

Hello,

I would like to add a pull start or electric starter
to an os 12 cv.

I was wondering if I could build a cheap conversion kit.

From what I have read, I need to change the crankshaft
and add the pieces for the pull start at the back
of the motor.

Do you think that it is a good idea to get these peaces
from an old broken os motor?

Is the crankshaft a peace that gets broken when you break
the motor with over heat and long usage?

What about the pull start pieces?

I may end up buying only the crankshaft or everything,
but as I have no experience with broken motor I ask
the specialists.
