Hi, I've a problem with Channel 1 (Aileron. L/R on right stick mode1) when trying to use FMS. It doesn't respond to any stick movement.
I am using XP SP3, Futaba 6EX 2.4GHz Latest version FMS with a Protech USB interface.

All other channels, 2, 3, 4 calibrate and move correctly but channel 1 just rapidly flashes blue/white. Then when you finish calibration channel 1 is blank, all the others are half blue/white and move as they should to stick inputs.
My Father's old Futaba Skysport 4 with this USB lead using the DIN plug half all works perfectly
So it must either be the square plug (and if three channels work it surely can't be that??) or my Tx that's faulty? But Tx works perfectly when I fly a real model... HELP! Are there known trainer socket issues?

Hi,
I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I also have a T6EX 2.4GHz and have just bought the Protech USB Interface.
I've just emailed Protech to see if they are aware of this issue.
Have you sorted out any solution? If so, please let me know.
Thank you!

Hi,
just got an email from Protech stating that their USB Interface does not work with 2.4GHz technology.
If anyone knows of a working USB Interface, please let me know.
Cheers,

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I had my Tx checked today and the socket was working perfectly, was told it must be the lead. Your last post confirms this. I'll be off to get a refund tomorrow!
Like to echo Pfrogs plea, Is there an Interface that works with Futaba 2.4GHz for FMS?
Thanks,
RSTMG.

Got my refund today, told the guy in the shop about it not working with 2.4GHz. He said he wasn't aware but thanks for letting him know, he's put a note on the hook the leads are on to remind him to ask what Tx other customers will be using.
E-mailed GWS about their interface lead & they say; The GWS cables will only work with TX’s on PPM mode, not 2.4. GWS
Apparently the Phoenix flight sim, at around £80, is 2.4GHz compatable.
Think I'll look around for a cheap secondhand 35MHz Tx6EX. (Want it to "feel" the same)

That is funny. I've just came across with this post (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=970659) where Clonedkorl says that the GWS cable works fine and also the interface that Brummeh says to have bought on ebay looks pretty much like the Protech USB interface.
I'm really going crazy on which cable works with the 6EX 2.4GHz. Don't want to buy it over the internet and have it returned, wasting money on postaing and useless cables. Guess I'll keep looking.

Hmmmm.... Noticed they didn't say what sim they were using, maybe our problem is we're trying to use FMS?
I'll ask on that thread.
BTW. when trying to use the Protech lead I tried to calibrate in Windows Games Controller & although it wouldn't calibrate, same issue, aileron channel no response, the Tx did appear in the controller window as "ppm device" (or words to that effect) ??
So although its 2.4GHz does it output PPM through the trainer socket?

Same happens to me when using Control Panel -> Game Controller -> Calibrate..I'm able to calibrate every channel except for Ch1 (which doesn't respond although I can see quick glitches in calibration bar).
From what I found out over the internet, despite 2.4GHz Tx output DSM signal to Rx, the trainer port outputs PPM. That, in my opinion, should be right since we can get a signal from the other 3 channels. So I really don't understand why Ch1 doesn't respond :( Wish I could understand more about electronics in order to solve this problem.
Meanwhile..still looking for a solution to this problem.
