I've been playing with RF 3.5 lately. While it's nice to be able to practice things without repairing my plane afterwards, I find in a lot of aspects it's harder than flying for real. For example, I can almost never hit the runway on the way back, because I can't look from the plane to the runway and back. I can come close, but to actually set down on the tarmac and stay there until I stop seems overly difficult. I actually have this problem with anything involving flying low.
Anyone else notice this? What settings are you using regarding view? It seems like cockpit or chase view might make this easier, but there are 2 problems with that. 1 is that it's then not much like flying for real, since when flying my planes outside I'm on the ground. 2 is that those options are greyed out on my machine anyway, for some reason.
I did change the view to keep the ground in view, but this only helps so much. Also, it makes the plane even harder to see at any distance.
I'm guessing a big part of this is my small 17" monitor, but that's a fairly common monitor size.
Just feeling out for others thoughts on this. Thanks.
