You have just mixed up that fast setting epoxy and need to get it to the required 'job' with minutes before it starts to go 'off' ...
Why...
1/ Does your phone ring and the person on the other end just wants to chat?.
2/ Someone passes by and just wants to chat?..
3/ As you are working outside (due to the 'smell'), it begins to rain?...
I've just had this happen to me!...:mad::mad:
Is this that Mr Murphy again?..

By all accounts I have an answering machine.
If it is important they will leave a message.

Some of Murphy's Many Corollaries:
- When you cut a piece of stainless rod to make a rudder shaft and then screw it up, the remaining piece will be 1/8" too short to use as a backup.
- You have two jobs to do... you'll always enjoy one more than the other, so you do it first... then the second job will involve long dry times in which you could have completed the first job had you thought it out first...

Today it was some finishing resin I mixed up, and the phone rang. Luckily, my wife ansered it. :)
Unfortunately it was the owner of the LHS where I work part time. He wanted me to come in on my day off and put price tags on all of the items in the 35 very large boxes that UPS and FedEx delivered this morning. :censored: Since my paycheck from the LHS pays for the toys and gear, I went into work.

Usually, one of the items I intended to stick goes into hiding, only to reappear just after the epoxy has gone past the point of no return.

If I have to delay for a moment, I place my resin or epoxy into the freezer (or where I live, outside, if it's winter).

I have come to accept over the years that things happen when you've just mixed up a batch of two-part material that has a limited pot life: :)
A) the phone rings
B) someone's at the door
C) wifey needs something NOW
D) the stuff is setting faster than expected
E) you have to go to the bathroom
F) any two of the above at once
G) all of the above, simultaneously
Such is life---.

Yeah but then there’s those times when everything goes just perfect……………All you can do is laugh at the rest.
