Happy New Year from New South Wales, I went south to get into the new year an hour earlier :D So the Kiwis are already there, couldn't afford the flight :p
Hope you all have a happy and prosperous year ahead :) Best wishes to all.

We have slightly less than 2 hours before midnight. Champagne is in the bucket & the mortar & rockets are ready to go once the countdown begins.

Happy New Year to all! :D

I think the Old Year got some of our bailout money and headed for parts unknown. Must think he's a CEO of something. :D

So it's all over now. We can start a new year and hope the heck it gets better than the last one. Maybe the "O" can put us back together again. Pete

You know what they say Pete, don't ask what your country can do for you but....

Hopefully some people have seen the light and will combat the ridiculous amounts of money awarded to people who don't do the job but take all the merit for it, the same goes for amount awarded in judiciary cases, etc., etc. there's a lot to be changed in how people should spend and make long lasting usage of what this planet has to offer IMHO.

I also miss the punishing element of the culprit's fault of getting us into this mess in the first place, except for those instances going down the drain with nothing left, how about those holding their hands out at this moment!!? However I also believe we must begin by holding a mirror up :D Boo

I agree Boo and that's whyI started selling flags. There are no jobs around here to speak of so the good old American enterprise sytem will have to take effect. I said right along that if the Gov is going to hand out money then give it to the people and let them decide who sinks or swims by what they buy with the money.
Lets not lose sight of the fact that the price of oil is what started this whole mess. We must keep using less oil and explore alternative sources of energy even if the price of fuel drops to .50 a gallon.
I agree that some of the big shots that decided to make all these subsdandard loans should be prosecuted but I don't think there is any law against the practice. I just think we shouldn't have bailed them out. Pete

Pete, it sounds as if you have to follow your government's advice.... according to Fred Thompson! There's suppose to be good news for our generation....at least :D http://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/12.08/goodnewa.html Boo
