this to charger my rc batteries? and on what setting? The rc car is a
"professional" one not a radioshack rc car. The batteries are ones you
solder together yourself. The book says to use the nicd setting to
charger the battery for its starter but I was wondering if i could use
the nimh setting for the other batteries. I dont know what nimh means
so thats why im asking

There are 2 such classes (among many others) for the type of batteries
you use. They are "Ni-cads" and "Metal-hydroxcides". They use the same
"settings" (voltage wise) and just have slightly different charge
curves, but any "smart" charger does that automatically. The Ni-mh
pretty much are replacing the older ni-cads as they have a much higher
mAhr rating for the same size cell and a longer charge cycle life span.
